Members Feature - Ed Beesley

Today we speak with Ed Beesley, MChiro DC - a graduate of the renowned Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in the UK with over 10 years clinical experience.

Hey Ed! Thanks for sitting down with us for a chat.

Could you tell us about what you do?

I’m a chiropractor, focusing on the alignment of the spine and joint movement to help unblock areas of restriction and allow the body to heal itself. I often help those whose work is desk-based, but also athletes and musicians - people who have specific strains on their body from different types of work.

Chiropractic is a gentle but effective treatment that works in a natural way to get the body functioning at its best. It mainly focuses on the spine and surrounding joints, using fast, specific movements to restore movement, improve posture, and ease tension on nerves. Some may even notice improvements in their sleep-quality, sinuses and resolution of other niggles they've been putting up with.

What’s your journey been, what brought you to Oru?

I moved to South London and decided to take the plunge and start my own business, after working under other companies for many years. I felt there was a need for more Chiropractors in the local area - I think a lot of people have struggled with problems related to tension that's built up working from home over the last couple of years, and Chiropractic works really well for those sorts of issues. I was looking for somewhere close by to start my practice, and was instantly drawn to Oru.

What do you love about working from Oru?

It’s a beautiful, creative atmosphere to work in - patients always comment on that (and the plants). I love seeing people's dogs around the place too! It's been the perfect space, and I wish I’d taken the leap sooner.

What’s next? Any exciting plans you’d like to share?

I'll be growing the services I offer (eg. Shockwave and other injury-therapies) so I can help an even wider range of issues; and hopefully taking on other team members.
