ALICE
Alice became a yoga teacher after graduating from drama school, where she focused on physical theatre and dance. She completed her 200hr training with YogaLondon in Ecuador in 2014, followed by 300hr training with Sianna Sherman in Portland in 2017.
Since then, she’s continued to deepen her studies in Yin, pre- and post-natal yoga, and anatomy. In 2019, she began teaching on teacher trainings and hosting retreats, which she still loves to do, although a little less since becoming a mum.
Alice’s teaching is rooted in integrity, curiosity and a belief in what the body is capable of. She encourages her students to explore the practice and discover their own unique authenticity.
JOSHUA
E-RYT 500 / RPYT
Joshua discovered yoga at drama school in Canada and these twin passions have set the course of his life ever since. In 2013, he completed his MA in the UK studying how yoga can supplement the three disciplines of musical theatre and support performers’ mental health. Joshua continued to study anatomy at university, through personal training and sports massage qualifications and with leading yoga practitioners such as Bernie Clark, Tom Myers and Stuart McGill. His practice and teaching spans a range of styles including Vinyasa, Yin, Rocket, Tripsichore and Mandala.
Joshua began leading yoga teacher trainings in 2016 and has been recognised for creating radically inclusive learning environments, bringing concepts to life in a fun and practical way, and his student-centered, problem-solving approach to learning — all with the aim of finding the embodied joy that comes with the practice of yoga.

MIRI
For Miriam, yoga is so much more than a movement practice. It is a transformative life practice that can help you form a deeper sense of connection with your body, your mind, your consciousness, and in turn with the world around you. Miriam’s intention is to teach this practice in a warm, inclusive and curious way, that empowers you to tune into your inner world and feel what’s best for you - moment to moment. In Miriam’s classes you can expect to be challenged, encouraged and guided through thoughtful, contemplative sequences that weave together asana, philosophy, breath and embodied exploration. Miriam also loves using sound as a vehicle for deep rest, and runs regular sound baths using quartz singing bowls, chimes and bells. She believes sound healing can help us come back to our bodies as a living field of sensation. She is endlessly curious about the incredible human body, nervous system regulation and neuroscience, quantum physics and energy, and the power of movement and mindfulness to shift our state. You will find all of these influences present in her teaching, as well as light hearted reminders to bring move from a curious place, not a critical one.
Miri is the Head of Wellness at Oru!
