March 20-25th 2027 Natural Dopamine Retreat: Fitness & Rest
At Oru El Saltador with Mollie & Emma
Motivation is biology. This natural dopamine retreat is a five-day experience in the Andalusian hills where movement, food, sunlight, cold water and rest are used deliberately to support a healthy, steady baseline of dopamine, the brain chemical behind drive, focus and pleasure.
Mornings begin with sunlight and an outdoor cold plunge; breakfasts are high-protein to fuel natural dopamine regulation, and days combine fitness sessions with hikes through the Spanish countryside. Evenings will conclude with a deeply restorative sound bath to facilitate non-sleep deep rest (NSDR), a form of Yoga Nidra specifically designed to regulate dopamine and repay sleep debt. Alongside the movement and food, you'll learn the behavioural tools - from reward timing to sleep hygiene - that help sustain motivation long after the retreat ends. While the science has particular relevance for those with ADHD, this retreat is designed for anyone who wants to feel more energised, focused and in control of their own drive. Each day we’ll explore a new philosophical theme, introduced within the physical practice and then gently unpacked through conversation and reflection, looking at how these teachings can be meaningfully woven into everyday life. Afternoons will include optional sangha gatherings, creating space to come together for open discussion around the spiritual and philosophical foundations of yoga and how they land for each of us individually.
We'll also organise two optional excursions throughout the retreat (an additional cost) to help you get to know the incredible local sights of this Andalusian region. Massages are available from our onsite masseuse to help you unwind and release tension. Meals are plentiful and served family style - 3 delicious veggie meals per day are included, and at Oru El Saltador, we work with incredible local chefs who are passionate about plant-rich, colourful, nourishing seasonal food that nourishes us from the inside out. The menu is designed with care and approved by our Oru nutritionist to make sure it is nutritionally balanced whilst still being totally delicious!
It's hard in our day-to-day lives to find time to reflect, pause and connect with ourselves - so coming on retreat enables us to return to a place of balance and heightened awareness. In just 5 days, it can feel like we are a totally renewed version of ourselves, with more clarity, more calm and more self-compassion than before.

Off-grid Living
Off-grid Living
Nestled in the heart of the Andalusian desert, our retreat centre is completely off-grid - and we think that's something worth celebrating.
We run entirely on solar energy, we have our own water supply, and we reduce our footprint wherever possible. There are no mains connections here, no hum of the national grid, no endless supply of resources on tap. What there is, is something rarer: a genuine invitation to slow down, consume less, and reconnect with the natural rhythms of the land.
What this means in practice
The desert is a place of abundance and scarcity in equal measure. The sun gives us everything we need to power our days, but we ask guests to be mindful of how they use that energy, turning off lights when leaving a room, avoiding charging devices overnight, and embracing the quiet that comes when screens are set aside.
Water here is precious. We ask everyone to take shorter showers, turn off taps fully, and treat every drop with the same respect the land itself demands. During drier periods, supplies can run low, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation when they do. Many guests tell us that the off-grid nature of the retreat becomes one of the most meaningful parts of their stay. There is something quietly powerful about living within limits, about noticing how little you actually need, and how much more present you become when the usual conveniences fall away.
This is a place to unplug in every sense of the word. To remember what it feels like to live lightly.

You will need to book your own flights for this retreat. For this retreat we recommend flying to and from Almeria airport. There is also the option to fly to Murcia but please note that it is a longer drive to this airport (roughly 2 hours). Granada is also 2 hours away for additional flight options.
If you want to spend a little longer in the area, or extend your trip, we really recommend this - there’s so much to enjoy in the area!
Once at either airport, we will arrange taxi transfers to collect you (this will be an additional cost) or you are welcome to hire a car if you wish. Almeria airport is 45 minutes drive away, Murcia is 1 hour 45 minutes away.
-
Once you have chosen your airport of choice, we can help arrange taxi transfers for you direct to the venue.
Almeria - 45 minute drive
Murcia - 1 hour 45 minute drive
Granada - 2 hour drive
If you'd like a no-fly option, we recommend checking out seat61.com to plan an over-land route. To get from London to Almeria via train you can plan one or two overnight stays in South of France, Madrid or Barcelona!
Your Teachers
-
Mollie trained in all styles of dance from a young age and has always been passionate about movement. She believes that exercise should be an inclusive, safe and positive environment for everyone to be able to grow, achieve and most importantly have fun! Her classes are all about using the mind and body together to really see what you’re capable of. You’ll leave class feeling energised, strong and very proud of yourself.

Emma is an educator, mindfulness-based cognitive therapist and strength-based ADHD coach who has upskilled in somatic movement, sound healing and breathwork facilitation. She founded Zenomics to support young people through transitions, at a pivotal point in her life: when both her mother and dear friend suddenly died. Both were inspirational mentors, dedicated to supporting young people, and whose legacies guide much of her work today. With an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and qualifications in permaculture, practical horticulture and plant-based cooking, Emma’s obsessed with natural ways to improve quality of life and communal wellbeing. Emma spends her spare time cooking, kitchen gardening, wild swimming and running community sound baths in southeast London.
