March at Oru Space 🌟
Focus
Where you look, is where you go
Hello from Vibushan,
March is a beautiful month, we can congratulate ourselves for making it through winter!
How we treat our time becomes more crucial as our social obligations explode. Drishti, meaning focal point or gaze in Sanskrit, is crucial for achieving the “right” posture - but it’s paying attention to this that helped me achieve poses beyond my current abilities and flexibility.
I try and use these teachings to apply to my life, am I spending my time doing what I love and with the people (and animals) I love.
Living for holidays, living for the weekend and Sunday scaries are very fortunately a thing of the past for me, and I’ll be doing everything I can to keep it this way.
The big news is Oru number 3 is on its way - we’ll be sharing more information with you very soon. For now I’ll leave you the image above, it will be in Europe and it will be operational as soon as the purchase is complete, which we’re hoping will be in August!
We’ll be sharing more news next week via LinkedIn and Instagram.
Welcome The Wholeness Pod to Dulwich
In case you didn’t know, The Wholeness Pod has been offering a wide range of wellness treatments at Oru Sutton for a while (see their offerings here). Now we’re excited to share The Wholeness Pod is coming to Oru Dulwich!
Rooted in Grenadian heritage, The Wholeness Pod was born from a deep passion for holistic living. After the loss of their mother in 2011, the founders found renewed purpose in natural healing and prevention. Their journey led them to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) in 2015, after witnessing its transformative effects on a loved one’s health. Today, The Wholeness Pod stands as Sutton’s premier biohacking, tech-led wellness clinic, offering cutting-edge, science-backed treatments under one roof. Their mission? To make these life changing therapies accessible to all, because they believe prevention to be the key to a healthier future.

TRX in Agni
Much has to be said about the benefits of staying active in relation to focus and productivity. It’s why we built a Fitness Studio in Oru Sutton, and introduced TRX Classes to our community.
What is TRX? You may be wondering. The TRX system, also known as Total Resistance Exercises, refers to a specialized form of suspension training which allows you to work against gravity by using your own body weight as resistance. This provides a versatile form of training that you can tailor to your fitness level. You can adjust the difficulty of an exercise by changing the angle of your body relative to the ground. It’s great for anyone who:
✔ Is looking for a workout that suits any fitness level
✔ Seeks full body training with minimal equipment
✔ Aims to build core strength & stability
✔ Needs to improve balance & posture
✔ Wants to boost flexibility & mobility
We introduced TRX to Oru thanks to seasoned PT and TRX expert Anthony Mayatt, and have expanded our network of teachers since then, with Pip and Steph’s classes getting lovely 5-star reviews such as this one:
“Brilliant class, and TRX is a revelation. I can’t do yoga anymore because of joint pain and it puts too much pressure on my wrists. To my amazement, TRX is less difficult, less painful, well supported and I’m loving it. [...] Pip has been so supportive, thank you so much.”

It’s B Corp Month!
In case you didn’t know, Oru Space is more than just a wellness centre, coworking space, restaurant, cafe, events space and nursery all-in-one hybrid space - we are actually a Certified B Corp!
Because of this, March is always an exciting month for Oru, since that’s when “B Corp Month” happens. What is B Corp Month, you may be asking? It’s a time when B Lab U.S. & Canada and the global B Corp community join together to celebrate what it means to be a B Corp. This is a powerful moment; for B Corps of all sizes, across multiple industries to demonstrate that there is a better way of doing business and that companies can balance purpose and profit while considering all stakeholders in their practices - customers, suppliers, workers, communities, the environment, and shareholders.
Sounds very Oru, we know. Because of this, we wanted to celebrate B Corp Month by sharing with you a few photos of us having fun with our lovely communities in Dulwich and Sutton:
You Are What You Eat:
Why Good Food Makes You Work Better
Did you know that your digestive system and your brain are connected? Yes that’s right, when people say “You are what you eat” they’re really not far from the truth. To be precise, the communication system between your gut and brain is called the gut-brain axis. They’re connected both physically and biochemically in a number of different ways.
To spare you the anatomical technicalities, the main thing to know is that both systems need each other to work properly in order to function properly as a whole. As you’ve probably noticed through your own life experiences, if you go through a period of eating junk food with no clear schedule you might feel constantly fatigued and bloated. Or maybe you just went on holiday to Italy for two weeks, and came back asking yourself: “Why do I feel better than ever, when I’ve eaten pasta and pizza every day?”
There’s so many factors that can influence how you feel and how productive you are. And a very important one is your diet. Pesticides, artificial flavours, colouring, refined sugars and grains, or even the actual manufacturing process can completely change the structure of your food, making it increasingly worse than it originally was. UK supermarkets are crowded with perfectly polished products wrapped in plastic, all lacking taste and very much not seasonal. If you’re interested in this topic, we recommend reading this article by the British Heart Foundation talking about the trouble with ultra processed food.
We have a lot to learn from our Mediterranean neighbours, or further away countries like Sri Lanka - the inspiration behind all the food at Trinco. It was actually Vib’s own frustration, since he rarely enjoyed a meal outside of his Sri Lankan household, which made him want to open his own restaurant. That’s why all the food at Trinco is organic, seasonal, high quality, tasty, comforting and reminiscent of a home for everyone.
Getting Ready for Change:
Join our Spring Equinox Events!
The Spring Equinox is a celebration of new life, new beginnings, and a return to balance. In the northern hemisphere, days and nights become nearly equal in length, calling in more light and shedding the heaviness of winter. This seasonal change gracefully turns the darkness into light, welcoming a new period with patience and care for its ecosystems.
There’s a lot we can learn from nature’s seamless transition - sometimes not so seamless in the UK - and apply to our own lives. Essentially, spring is about returning to a state of balance. And balance can be found by combining work and play, enjoying time with yourself and loved ones, reconnecting with nature and people.
We have a few events this month which are related to productivity. “Tomorrow Together: A Collective Visioning Workshop” is a chance to reflect and set intentions for the upcoming season. At our Spring Equinox 108 Surya Namaskar Party we’ll come together for 108 Sun Salutations, celebrating movement and breath. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or new to the mat, it’s all about coming together and feeling alive. And if you’re looking for a little more relaxation, don’t miss our Spring Solstice Afternoon Retreat with Miriam Brightbart, our lovely Head of Wellness. Enjoy gentle yoga, a calming sound bath, and some journaling (plus cake!).
Last but not least, we’re also celebrating this new season with our Bloom Where You Are Planted: Spring Equinox Celebration to celebrate the reopening of our Sutton Rooftop Garden. Join us for a joyful gathering filled with laughter, stories, and good vibes. You can get your tickets for all events in the button below:

That’s why at Oru we have a variety of coworking desks, offices, quiet areas, call booths and meeting rooms - all designed to be functional, sustainable and pleasing to the eye.

All in the same place.
And the best thing is, we still have a few private offices available at Oru Sutton! If you own a company, agency, studio or business of any kind and are looking for an office space, why not do it at Oru?
