Oru El Saltador
Yoga & Nature Connection Retreat with Tim and Alex
Join Tim and Alex for a yoga + nature connection retreat where we'll slow down, breathe deeply and explore what it feels like to reconnect with ourselves and the natural world. Over four days of mindful, relaxing and energising yoga, we’ll follow daily rhythms from gentle sun salutations and forest bathing at dawn to sunset shala yoga and meditations, allowing the rhythms of nature to nurture presence and stillness within. Combining yoga with mindful walks, sit spots, nature journaling, sensory meditation and gratitude practices, we will connect to the earth beneath our feet, creating space for rest, reflection, and clarity.
We will leave feeling nourished, with a sense of spaciousness in both body and mind, truly grounded and more connected to nature. Energised, yet calm, and attuned with and supported by the natural world around us.
This retreat is for anyone who feels called to step away from the noise and pace of everyday life and explore a practice of yoga and nature connection. Tim and Alex ask that you come as you are. No experience necessary. Just bring an open heart and willingness to reconnect to yourself and the natural world.
We will also offer to support your journey with some gentle reading to ease you into the retreat and support you continuing your practice once we leave El Saltador.

You will need to book your own flights for this retreat. For this retreat we recommend flying to and from Almeria airport. There is also the option to fly to Murcia or Granada but please note that it is a longer drive to either airport (roughly 2 hours).
If you want to spend a little longer in the area, or extend your trip, we really recommend this - there’s so much to enjoy in the area!
Once at either airport, we can arrange taxi transfers to collect you (this will be an additional cost) or you are welcome to arrange your own transfer/hire a car if you wish.
Almeria airport is 45 minutes drive away, Murcia is 1 hour 45 minutes away. Granada is 2 hours away.
-
Once you have chosen your airport of choice, we can help arrange taxi transfers for you direct to the venue.
Almeria - 45 minute drive
Murcia - 1 hour 45 minute drive
Granada - 2 hour drive
If you want to make your trip longer and a little different, you can get a high speed train from Barcelona to Almeria (opening Spring 2026)!

Tim’s classes are less concerned with textbook alignment and classical yoga poses but focus on offering ways for people with differing physical needs to find their own interpretation of the practice. Being visually impaired and blind in one eye, Tim doesn't see in 3D or have depth-perception (making balancing postures his nemesis!). As such, he designs classes with a real focus on being accessible to all - and is as likely to encourage falling out of poses as he is to holding them. He is interested solely in how a posture feels, rather than what it looks like. Expect dynamic and fun flows that inspire a creative take on the practice, where you’ll be encouraged to adapt each and every pose to make it work for you. Think ‘Moving + Breathing’ rather than a traditional yoga class.

Alex is a sustainability professional who bridges the worlds of environmental action and inner transformation. With a deep personal practice rooted in yoga and deep ecology/nature connection, Alex believes that meaningful outer work begins with dedicated inner work. Alex guides others in reconnecting with the natural world, creating spaces where people can slow down, tune into the rhythms of the earth, become more present, and allow new ways of being to emerge. This approach reflects a core belief: that our capacity to care for ourselves and the planet is intimately connected to our ability to nurture our own awareness and presence. For Alex, nature connection isn't simply about spending time outdoors - it's about cultivating a practice focused on inner stillness and clarity that enables people to respond to challenges with wisdom, resilience, and authentic purpose.
