Oru El Saltador
New Year Yoga & Breathwork Retreat!
This retreat is currently open to Oru members only.
Join Miri, Mel and the Oru team for the very first El Saltador retreat! This retreat will be the soft launch of our amazing new site, as we welcome you to come and enjoy the quiet, beauty and tranquility of the Sierra De Alhamilla mountains. As the site grows we will be adding more features and facilities, but come and enjoy it in it’s beautiful authentic form, and be our very first (of hopefully many!) retreat guests to enjoy the space. This will be a chance to co-create the site and project with us right from the very beginning of this exciting journey!
This 5 day retreat is designed to help you land softly and intentionally into 2026. Each day will be a blend of energising, nourishing yoga practices, powerful and releasing breathwork practices, meditation, journaling, delicious organic food, walks in nature, and plenty of quiet time to reflect and rest. We’ll also plan a trip to the beach with a beautiful coastal walk, a new year’s intention setting ceremony and sound bath, and enjoy local walks in nature.
Yoga practices will include dynamic vinyasa, embodied flow, yin, yoga nidra and meditation. Breathwork practices will include conscious connected breathwork, as well as SOMA breath. These practices complement one another perfectly to allow for a holistic sense of wellbeing and transformation!
If you’re looking to take care of yourself and start the year mindfully, then this is the retreat for you. Andalusia is known for it’s pleasant winter temperatures, so expect t-shirt weather in the day (with maybe even a dip in the sea!) and cosying up in the evening by the fire.
Come join our amazing community!

For Miriam, yoga is so much more than a movement practice. It is a transformative life practice that helps you form a deeper sense of connection with your body, your mind, your consciousness and your energy, and in turn with the world around you. Miriam’s intention is to teach this practice in a warm, inclusive and curious way, that empowers you to tune into your inner world and feel what’s best for you - moment to moment.
In Miriam’s classes you can expect to be challenged, encouraged and guided through thoughtful, contemplative sequences that weave together asana, philosophy, breathwork and embodiment. She is endlessly curious about anatomy, the power of sound and frequency, the nervous system and neuroscience, quantum physics and energy, and the ability that movement and mindfulness has to shift our state. You will find all of these influences present in her teaching, as well as light hearted reminders to enjoy the experience!

With over two decades dedicated to the study and practice of holistic wellbeing, Melanie passionately believes in the power of slowing down and attuning to our bodies. As a holistic shamanic practitioner, she brings an additional layer of depth to her work. She combines ancient wisdom and modern techniques, including breathwork, embodied movement, tapping, coaching, kinesiology, and somatic trauma therapy. Whilst navigating challenges like PTSD, anxiety, depression, and a total disconnect from her body she realised how deeply her past had affected her and how important it was to release past traumas, balance her nervous system and deeply connect with her body and her intuition so that she could live a life that she loves and is passionate about. Beyond her professional pursuits, her deepest loves include her son, dancing, breathwork, working with fire, trauma healing, and a profound connection with nature.
