Launching soon

  • We are delighted to say that we will be housing a nursery provider as part of Oru space. We know that it takes a village to raise a child and our busy working lives mean that we need to be able to access additional support for our children. The nursery will be open to the public but our coworking members will be able to have priority over nursery spaces.

  • Oru Sutton will be home to an amazing 130 seat auditorium that will host an array of events such as inspirational and educational keynote speakers, community events, music concerts and will be available for private hire.

  • One of the most exciting elements of our new Sutton Oru Space is the rooftop space.

So many building rooftops remain unused, but we saw the vast rooftop space as an incredible opportunity to design areas where both community and wildlife can flourish.

We will be running an intergenerational garden in partnership with Age UK, where local primary school children and elderly residents will be able to participate in programmes fostering connection and mental wellbeing. There will also be a sensory area of the garden, to help support learning in children with neurodivergence.

Alongside this we will have wild areas, creating a safe haven for birds with RSPB and allowing biodiversity to thrive.

The rooftop will also have solar panelling, as well as holding a Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) and rainwater collection tank, allowing us to water plants on rooftops and inside the building. AND we’ll be composting waste from our kitchen to grow veg!
